Contemplative Practice Fellowships

The Hemera Contemplative Practice Fellowship program ended in December 2024. It provided support for individuals to undertake residential meditation retreats where they engaged in silent contemplative practice with gifted teachers. The longest running element of this program was our partnership with several retreat centers throughout North America to create a co-sponsored scholarship program. This program allowed over 8000 individuals to undertake the practice of deep retreat. The program served people in the helping professions, including medical personnel, educators, first-responders, and social service workers. Although this program has come to an end, each of the centers listed below has received a grant to offer scholarships over the next year or two. We encourage you to explore the possibility of retreat with any of our long-term retreat center partners.
